I work as Assistant Manager, Commercial at T.K. Group, where my responsibilities begin the moment an approved Proforma Invoice reaches my desk — selecting a bank against available credit limits, preparing the L/C application, coordinating with Finance for fund arrangement, arranging insurance, reviewing the draft L/C, and following the shipment through to customs clearance and factory delivery.
I recently completed my Master's in Procurement and Supply Management (MPSM) at BRAC University's Institute of Governance and Development, with a practicum built entirely from that real workflow. I now share the same process — plainly, in sequence, the way I'd explain it to someone new on my team — through this workshop, documentation templates, and my YouTube channel.

PI & bank selection
Approved PI arrives from Procurement; discuss with seniors and select a bank against available credit limits.
L/C application
Fresh PI sent for bank verification, then the signed L/C application is submitted with Finance fund arrangement.
Draft, insurance & SWIFT
Draft L/C reviewed with the supplier, insurance arranged, then transmitted via SWIFT and acknowledged.
Shipment & documents
Supplier ships as per L/C; original documents move from advising bank to issuing bank.
Document release
Funds coordinated with Finance, documents endorsed and released; one photocopy retained for the L/C file.
Customs & C&F
Originals sent to the C&F agent same-day; duty and charges coordinated through to port release.
Delivery & file close
Transport arranged to factory store, VAT/Tax documents handed over, Bill of Entry collected, file closed.
